Today, we drove about 1 1/2 hours to a beautiful park in Thousand Oaks. We hiked about 3 1/2 miles and Everett was awesome! He never tired and he had so much fun exploring. This is when I saw my first rattlesnake, the Pacific Rattlesnake to be specific.

After hiking, we had sushi while Everett slept in his stroller and that is when I experienced my first earthquake. It was the one that was centered in Baja. Needless to say, I did not care for the experience, but happy to now know what it feels like. I can now definitely confirm that I have not felt one in Rosamond, but suspect those are from the base, perhaps explosions. I am definitely used to the sonic booms, those are nothing compared to the earthquake.
Until next time...
